About Abusua

Abusua Community Health Centre's Beginnings

The Abusua Community Medical Centre is a USADF-funded community clinic located in the Nkoranza North District of Ghana. It was borne out of the Mediscope Diagnostic and Health Services following the winning of a grant award by the cofounders.

This award enables the entrepreneurs to expand primary healthcare and to solve some of the pressing community challenges that affect community members such as the gaps in maternal and neonatal care outcomes, the growing threat of infectious diseases and neglected tropical diseases such as Buruli ulcer and yaws among others.

The sustainability of the clinic is being modeled after our pioneers from Cocoa360’s “Agriculture for Impact” model where funds from the community’s agricultural activities are fueled to finance the operations of the clinic and other social ventures.

Mission

To establish a centre of excellence and reliable clinical care through teamwork and external collaboration with the view to create wealth by improving the health status of the people of this community and its environs through our agriculture for impact model.

Vision

To be an epitome of quality and sustainable healthcare provider in limited resource settings in Ghana and beyond.
