About The Co-Founders

Amma Nayrkoh

Amma Nayrkoh is a young dynamic nurse who holds a Diploma in General nursing with over 5 years of working experience.  She is the co-founder of Abusua Community Medical Centre where she serves as the head of Nursing. She is a self-motivated, disciplined, and confident woman with good teamwork and communication skills. She has always strived to perform her duties with due diligence and care, conscious of her primary obligation of offering the best of customer service to the patients and ensuring safe practice on the job. Dr. Joel Duah Afi

Joel Duah Afi is a 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow and co-founder of Abusua Community Medical Centre where he serves as the Medical Director. He is a multi-award-winning fellow with significant international experience and a number of awards to his credit including the USADF/Citi Foundation grant recipient award, World Connect and reciprocal exchange award. He has several years of experience in community development and working towards a sustainable and equitable society for all. (Click on image to read more)
